Images have the same effect to me as the way music has. It can hit me without knowing what it was. I am a lousy musician but a great observer. It's what I do. Unveiling what is behind an image is what I find interesting. It takes both distance as closeness to do so. I love the challenges of commissioned assignments. It is a valuable counterpart of my personal work. In both I search for the same thing: People in their everyday behaviour. How we relate to each other, how we stand out, but mostly how we are alike
